Naomi Meltzer – Optometrist

Naomi has been in private practice in the large optometry practice of Barry + Beale Optometrists for nearly thirty years.
As well as General Practice and Contact Lenses, she specializes in Low Vision, the subspecialty of Optometry that assists people whose vision cannot be improved by conventional spectacles or contact lenses alone, or through medical or surgical treatment. People with low vision are assisted with various optical or non-optical aids to maximize the use of their remaining vision.
Naomi is currently involved in projects to provide education and improve the provision of Low Vision services in the community, particularly in the older adult population, and is frequently asked to speak to community groups.
